CBSE Cluster I Kabaddi

About the Event

Central board of secondary education (CBSE) physical education and sports organise a yearly inter school competition for all the clusters, Zonal and National level for the student of its Schools to encourage more student participation in sports and physical activities. This competition for Kabaddi is for CLUSTER-I which includes Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim and Tripura.

Event Schedule

The events will be conducted from 8th to 10th August 2025 as Schedule below:

07-08-2025 (Thursday):           Arrival & Reporting of the outstation participating teams. 
Thursday Evening (6:00pm):   Meeting of Participating Team/Coach, CBSE Observer & the School Management committee

08-08-2025 (Friday):                Reporting of Local Schools, Opening Ceremony & Day 1 matches

09-08-2025 (Saturday):           Day 2 matches

10-08-2025 (Sunday):              Day 3 matches, Closing Ceremony and Dispersal of Teams

Rules & Regulations

DISCIPLINE
  1. All the participants of the team and their in-charge will be under the administrative control of the Chairman (Principal) of the organizing committee.
  2. They will be governed by the rules and regulations of the School/CBSE. (Click to view)
  3. Indiscipline on part of any team or its members will lead to disqualification and team/member maybe debarred from the match/ tournament and will be asked to leave the campus immediately.
  4. Team Manager shall be responsible for the conduct of the team on the ground, and the school campus.
  5. Use/possession of mobile phone by the students/players is strictly prohibited on the ground. If found, the mobile be confiscated and may lead to the expulsion of the team.
  6. Consumption of tobacco, liquor, drugs etc. is strictly prohibited within the school campus.
Arrival & Reception:
  1. All the outstation participating teams must reach the school campus on 07th August, 2025 (Thursday)
  2. They must also intimate to the school in advance about their journey details; i.e., date of journey, arrival time of train, bus etc. by phone/e-mail.
  3. Local teams have to report on 08 August, 2025 by 8:00a.m.
  4. All teams must participate in the March past, failing to which they may be disqualified from the event.

Documents to be sent in Advance:

The following documents should be sent to the school by 31 July, 2025

  • Consent of Participation
  • Entry/ Eligibility Form duly filled and attested by the Principal.
  • Journey details (if possible for the outstation teams)

How To Reach

Guwahati Airport

School is located 33 Km away from Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport and may take upto 1 hour to reach the school.

Railway Station 

School is located 6.2 Km away from Guwahati Railway Station.  It take around 26 to 36 min to reach the school, depending on traffic conditions.

From ISBT

School is located 12.5 Km away from ISBT(Inter State Bus Terminus) and 4.8kms from Mini ISBT (Khanapara, Guwahati).. One can get private taxi service to reach school. It take around 30 min.

Event Update

CBSE Cluster I Kabaddi Tournament
for the entire North Eastern states was hosted for the first time by Shrimanta
Shankar Academy, Dispur from 8th to 10th August, 2025. This
maiden event by the host school was conducted under three categories – Under 14, Under 17 and Under 19. All
the categories had teams of both girls and boys separately.

A total of 22 teams coming from the
entire North Eastern states had a total of 536 students participating in the
event. Category wise Champion, 1st Runner Up and two teams occupying
the positions of Runners Up earned by the teams through tough contest in the final
and semi-final matches held on 10/08/25 are as follows:
