Shrimanta Shankar Academy affiliated to the CBSE New Delhi was established in the heart of the capital city of Assam Dispur in 1995 with the sole objective of imparting quality education to that gives due importance to human values and ethics mainly catering to the students of the North East.
The aim was accomplished by inculcating the values and teachings of the patron saint Mahapurush Shrimanta Shankardev as the foundation of the school’s vision and mission. Hence the students would be motivated to do well academically and be a real asset to the society by delivering value, awareness, sense of pride in our culture and tradition and heritage.
The school has three multi storey buildings, a science laboratory with all the latest equipment, state of the art library, two large playgrounds, a fully air conditioned auditorium, two rooms allotted to music, yoga rooms and classes up to Xth standard. The school has an addition of classes up to XII and has 100 percent pass rate in the CBSE board exams.
Our Institution aims not only at imparting education but also at developing a sense of social awareness, justice, pride for our rich heritage and traditions among the students. An Advisory Council consisting of some renowned professors and educationists who are equipped with immense teaching experience and are outstanding teachers themselves guides the institution. Besides, the Advisory Council also utilises the services of a few other enterprising and enthusiastic persons to make the institution ideal in all respects.
The Academy aims at not only imparting education but also at developing a sense of social awareness, and pride for our rich heritage and traditions among the students.
At the same time, the Academy emphasizes on maintaining a behavioral decorum within and outside the school premises, including proper food habit and maintenance of personal hygiene.
The Academy develops an environment-friendly habit to preserve and conserve water, electricity, and other valuable resources.
The Academy provides an excellent platform for the students to nurture and showcase their talents and potentials through a plethora of, activities and competitions.
